In this article, you will learn about how to do content marketing for new websites.
Tip1 – Leverage infographics
Don’t worry you are not going to design a page to create infographics. But if you want then you can. This is a super effective and very specific strategy. So, all you have to do is go to ubersuggest and type any keyword for any topic that is related to your website or any topic that you want to create content around.
Now you are going to see this keyword overview page. Keep scrolling down, you will see content ideas. This will show you all popular blogs based on the social shares, backlinks and search traffic so all the articles around the web that are popular for the keyword you have just typed down. Out of those popular blogs select the suitable one.
Then, go to the canvas where you can create infographics with that data that you got from that blog article. So in essence, what you are using these design tools, taking your text-based contents and you are creating your visual infographics. Infographics are probably the same topic on which articles are written on.
You can think in this way, that the text-based articles are popular then the infographic version should be more popular. People prefer infographics than text-based content. You would be going to look it is so much easier to adjust visual information.
So, now you have created your infographics. You put it on your website and then go back to ubersuggest, look at all the people linked to that article and send them an email that goes something like this:
I noticed you linked to XY and Z article.[insert link]
I turned the article into an infographic and that infographic explains all the steps in an easy to digest image: [insert link]
Feel free and share it to your favorite social network.
What you find is when someone links to the article they like that article there is a really good chance to link to that image as well because it is so much easier for the audience to understand.
Tip 2 – Create a round-up list
Again go back to ubersuggest. Type any keyword that you want to search for. Click on the content ideas, this will show you all the popular blog post ideas in that space. Let’s say ‘web design’ this is the keyword that you put in. it will show you all the popular blog posts that are related to web design.
I want you to then do a round-up post breaking down things like ‘A 101 web design resources that you can’t live without’ or ‘A 101 web design resources that you have to check out’ whatever the title may be but it should be something around those lines then write your post publish it.
Now you can go back to ubersuggest and look up all the people who are linked to the related blog. Head up all the site owners and say something like:
I noticed you linked to XY and Z article. [Insert link]
I actually created a round-up post that links to that article plus links to 99 more ways you can do web design.
Feel free to check it out here [insert link] and if you like it, feel free to also link to it.
Tip 3: Leveraging Q n A sites
I would suggest you to quora and find all the popular articles within your space. Once you find them, you will notice oh! These are the people who are talking about on quora, these are the questions they are asking and so on. This will tell you long term phrases that you should create content around.
I want you to go to answer the public, and on answer to the public, I want you to type in the head terms. It will also give you all the other questions that people are asking and searching for.
Now you have quora data and the data from answer the public. Combine them. it will give you data on topics that you should create content around. I want you to also take those URLs more so from quora put them in ubersuggest. Then see whom they are linking for, on what keywords they are ranking. Find about on what keywords they are ranking is a more important part because it’s not just about ‘the question people are typing” In some cases, it is going to be 50, 100, 200 keywords that reside ranking for. When you create your own blog post that question and answer and you are going super in-depth you want to cover all those main keywords. It’s not the stuff it has to be thorough. When you are thorough you are more likely to do better.
If you follow these three strategies, you also doing really well with content marketing even though your website is new or has no traffic.
I hope now you are more clear about how to do content marketing for new websites. If you have any query then do mention it in the comment section.
